Movement as mental health, not punishment

What happens when you stop using exercise to fix yourself and start using it to take care of yourself. A gentler approach to consistency.

If your relationship with movement is built on guilt, it will collapse the moment life gets hard. The clients I see who move consistently for decades have one thing in common: it is not a punishment, it is a form of self respect.

Decouple movement from appearance

When the goal of exercise is to fix how you look, every workout is a referendum on your worth. When the goal is energy, mood, and capacity, every walk counts.

Choose the version you will actually do

  • A twenty minute walk you take is better than the hour workout you skip.
  • Strength training twice a week is enough to change your life.
  • Rest days are part of the program, not a failure of it.
